The Eco-Solutions include text as well as numbers. Technical terms, abbreviations and acronyms. A set of terms that we will decipher for you.

A

A+++

Highest energy efficiency of an Eco-Solution.

C

Condensing

Condensing is the art of heating better using less energy. Technology used to recover heat from the water in flue gases. This results in efficiencies above 100%, fewer pollutants discharged into the atmosphere and more savings.

Control system

This system controls the boiler as close as possible to needs, using just enough energy while achieving optimum comfort. Some De Dietrich control systems provide a remote control possibility through the use of a smart phone.

D

DHW

The acronym for Domestic Hot Water.

E

Eco-Solutions

De Dietrich's Eco-Solutions offer you solutions for heating and hot water production ensuring comfort and performance. Eco-Solutions meet the new European Ecodesign and Energy Labelling directives. They will also give you the benefit of the expertise, advice and services of our network of approved professionals.

Ecodesign

Is a European Directive which will apply, from September 26th 2015 onwards, to hot water and heating appliances. Its main objective is to improve efficiency while minimizing harmful emissions and noise.

EEI

Acronym denoting an appliance's Energy Efficiency Index. From August 1st 2015, this index will be reduced from 0.23 to 0.27, to increase efficiency and savings.

Energy labelling

Will come into effect on 26 September 2015. It will take the form of a label already affixed on household electrical appliances, which indicates the energy efficiency of a product, its noise level, the manufacturer's name, etc.

H

Heat pumps

This technology uses free and unlimited sources of energy such as air, the ground and water. A heat pump works for both heating and cooling.

P

Plan 20/20/20

The European Union's 20/20/20 plan or energy and climate plan was decided in December 2008. Its aim is to increase the share of renewable energy to 20%, and reduce CO2 emissions and primary energy consumption by 20%, by 2020. The Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Directives were drawn up in this context.

R

RGE

Acronym for Reconnu Garant de l’Environnement (Recognized as a Guarantor for the Environment). It denotes a mandatory label in France for professionals wanting to carry out energy renovation work and allow their customers to benefit from tax credit.
